This group exhibition highlights the work of over 20 artists whose creativity and practice have shaped and inspired a new generation of makers in New Hampshire and beyond. Just as the field of art is vast, so too are the ways in which artists spark inspiration—whether through teaching, hosting community events, leading workshops, participating in organizations, fostering shared studio spaces, or offering mentorship. The artists featured here have been a source of inspiration and influence.

Plein air painting event and auction. Member artists of Copley Society spread out throughout Boston area to create a painting on Sunday April 24th. A live Auction and Gala is then held on May 5, 2016 at the gallery on Newbury Street. All works are donated by member artists and proceeds benefit the Copley Society of Art.

I will be exhibiting at the League of NH Craftsmen's Fair at Mt. Sunapee. We’ve all done it – you see this amazing image/landscape/crowd scene – and you don’t have a camera. But – you do have your cellphone, and click, the image is captured. Using your own phone photos, you’ll explore how to use them as inspiration or reference and, working in any media, edit, adjust or refocus to create a new work of art. I'll be displaying and demonstrating during this One day outdoor art and craft festival taking place on Main Street in Goffstown Village, NH. 9-3. Over 30 exhibitors in a wide variety of mediums from paintings to fiber, jewelry to pottery. A child-friendly fun day.

A one-day outdoor painting event—I will be one of over 70 painters on the streets of Boston working directly from life to create a painting that will be part of a fundraising auction for the Copley Society of Art, a juried art association established in 1873. Highly anticipated Gala Auction will be held on Saturday, May 10th. See Coso website for details and downloadable map showing where artists will be working.

In conjunction with the exhibition, Romare Bearden: A Black Odyssey, explore how creating shapes out of various papers, combining, arranging and then gluing them to a supporting surface can help you simplify your ideas and tell your story. Join artist Ann Trainor Domingue as she leads you on your own odyssey, exploring your history through the art of paint and collage. You are encouraged to bring your own photo images and use them in the artwork you will create.
