Framed in light color wood floater. I'm playing with the place where land meets the sea as appears frequently along the seacoast and lake/river areas of New England. A precarious existence for those on the edge for sure but at the same time people are real, honor the strength of nature, understand the natural movements of tides, weather, and how it all is interconnected with their chosen way of life. City-people will have a very hard time grasping the harsh realities of living in a seaside community but still admire the strength of character shown by generations of seaside family life. I hope some piece of my work brings an understanding or appreciation of a very different way of life.
