This painting began with nothing in mind for the outcome. I was going to stick with my plan of no preplanned outcome--not even a scratchy sketch. Just see what might happen if I let my intuition play with marks and color on early layers and see if I could find a way to complete this with no plan. It took much longer than my other work to figure out the finish for this piece. It's more about movement and color with some use of pattern and limited imagery. I consider this an abstract piece without any concern for seeing specifics, although the small fish images enlivened the blueish areas and melded with the flows areas. Hope you enjoy the view.
