This piece began with random shapes and stripes of deep maroon and white paint. No idea where it was going, I pulled out a box of translucent deli paper and began gluing it on the painting with acrylic medium. Many layers after things began to congeal and my final note was the small color area in the upper left with a bit of striped fabric glued on. The result was a surprise to me and I will continue to explore this idea further that is working without a net to see where things take me.
