Quilted Over Time

This piece took quite a ride before it finished itself. A departure from my colorful works of late, yet it called out to me to just keep the starkness of black and white, making greys by adding lines. The hand drawn patterns are each different, intentionally unique similar to who we each are as people. We live above the surface of the ocean yet there is so much history below, that made each of us who we are today. Pieced and quilted together as one. And part of a whole of humanity living together, keeping each other warm, despite our obvious differences.
